True, but that always leads to some disagreement. It would almost be better to have the all-powerful "this is right or wrong" judgement.

Kind of like "those who would give up their freedom for security find that they have neither"

me i figure each person can and will decide the matters of homosexuality lesbianism same sex relationships for their individual self as those matters pertain to that person and their partner regardless of weather or not their friends, families, city , state or federal government would approve or disapprove of their social views or religious beliefs on the matter.
hence the term free thought.
such an intimate relationship between 2 men or women may be a sin or social taboo but that does not in and of itself necaserily mean it must make it a criminal offense
just my thoughts on the matter people but when the politicians or religiouse folk do their worst to devide the entire community and otherwise turn the common people against each other with their hate speech and what not
as far as i am concerned and i apolagise profusely in advance for saying this should i offend anyone's religious faith on the matter
as far as i am concerned when they abuse, misuse and otherwise use their authority in such a corrupt and immoral manner they might as well be doing the devils work for him.

Yay karma candy. But yeah, Gen... anybody who holds it against you for speaking your mind, especially here, is a HUGE hypocrite. I appreciate your honesty even if I dont agree entirely with what you're saying. But yeah, while heading off the riginal topic I feel your comment must be adressed... I agree that many church people are splitting the country with this sort of thing, but look at how most of us were raised! "Homosexuality is a sin. Supporting it is a sin. Not repremanding it is a sin. Not believing that what you say WILL make a difference and convert those wretched sinners is a lack of faith and therefore one of the worst sins you can commit. Ignoring it is a sin..." Getting the idea? This has been so engrained in our minds by people misquoting the Bible that we're kinda stuck. I personally don't go this extreme, but that is how most of us are raised. It was pounded into me so hard I still feel uncomfortable getting or giving hugs from/to girls. Absurd? Yes. True? Yes. Annoying? Sometimes.
