I don't get it. Are they saying they'll allow gays in or what?... This whole thing is so wrong... Why can't they just make up their minds already?!

I don't get it. Are they saying they'll allow gays in or what?... In a nut-shell, yes; clergy men in certain countries/ states believe that homosexual men should not belong within the hierarchy of the church. Well, I feel that this will always remain a key issue within religion; modern tolerance/acceptence over ancient traditions. I feel that the traditions will always win, due to the longevity of the groups themselves; i.e., the followers want continuity with previous generations, and if that entails discrimination against different groups of people, then they'll do just that.

My apologies, but when you've gone your whole life bing told something is not just bad, but sick, wrong, and evil, you tend to be a little prejudiced. I believe in the love the sinner, not the sin, but I still have trouble getting along with homosexuals, witches, abortionists, etc. Although I have a more personal reason against the witches. I'm not surprised that they're staying segregated, I just can't believe they'd allow it period. Very few do.

I'm not opposed to homosexuals being in the church & part of the church family, but being in the hierarchy just wouldn't make sense. I'm not saying all pastors, clergy, etc. are perfect but it's stated that it's a sin so it completely rules out hierarchy. & btw yes, segregation is just wrong

I dont see why it matters. As long as he keeps his hands off the alterboys, I dont care what my priest does behind bedroom doors. Being devided because of this topic will just end up breeding resentment from both sides.

As long as there is a difference in people and beliefs, there will be prejudice, racism, and segregation in some form or way. I don't think its possible for the "world to decide where it needs to go" because no one would agree with each other

That's decided by the individual, not the "all powerful state"
