lack of communication: its like talking, only not.
I wonder though. with either a Black or a Woman, is america ready for someone that is different? even being catholic used to scare people. these people are different in a way thet shows up. old people are ok, we see old people all the time and everybody gets old, but i worry that rednecks and skinheads will vote against either one.

I wonder though. with either a Black or a Woman, is america ready for someone that is different? even being catholic used to scare people. these people are different in a way thet shows up. Personally, I don't think most Americans are ready because I feel that they're forced into choosing one or the other out of fear. Why? Because if you don't support Obama, you obviously don't like "black people." If you don't support Clinton, you hate women... I'm not voting for either because I don't think either are cut out for the job. ...but i worry that rednecks and skinheads will vote against either one. You've got to remember though that die-hard rednecks and skinheads are so consumed with their own ideologies that they'd fail to see the forest for the trees, so-to-speak.

I'm absolutely appalled with the Libertarian Presidential Nomination as broadcast on C-SPAN this past Sunday. I'll explain more if anyone wants me to, but needless to say, I think I'll vote a write-in ticket of "Bruce Wayne/ Tony Stark" this year...

Being a Libertarian, from what I understood, meant that you were socially liberal and economically conservative. However, the man who was nominated to run as the LP's official candidate has the following going against him; - Co-founded the "Defense of Marriage Act" which states that marriage is between a man and a woman
- He is for the war on drugs
- He is staunchly anti-abortion
- He believes in leaving the troops in Iraq
Anywho, this led me to a possible new political path; becoming an independent. I've found that my views are "too moderate" in the eyes of the most extreme Libertarians when it comes to economics (I feel that money is not a means to an end, but that of a beginning; it's what you do with the monies earned that really matters, IMO), and I support wars with clearly defined and obtainable objectives.

so... the LP's candidate is a conservative? weird. Anyway, now the race is down to two candidates: Mr. Smiles and empty suit and Mr. Scares small women and children i68.photobucket.com/albums/i29/LiamalGhul/old.gif[/IMG] Chocolate or Vanilla? personally I prefer Cherry, mint, or bubblegum, but the electoral system gives only two flavors. And i heard something interesting. I'd previously been for the Dream ticket but my English teacher made me think: if obama and clinton run together that it would be the worst of both worlds because most people dislike at least one or the other, it would create apathy from both sides. what do y'all think? On a side note, I found where hillary goes against Videogames, but i cant find it on the web. Calvert, Clay and Robert D. Richards. "Violence and Videogames 2006: Legislation and litigation." Texas Review of Entertainment & Sports Law. 8.1 (2007), 49-61. It's on EBSCO if your school has the database.

LOL...wow. I hope they keep the dems out, but it really is too bad that independents aren't given more of a chance. So many people are "straight ticket" that they fail to see the detriments of not looking at candidates individually. most of them don't even check their party's agenda to know what they're voting for. It's so sad.

yup. either Rep or Dem, most people just choose the side that they had for their entire life and let cognitive dissonance do the work.

It's so sad. I entirely agree. Labels like "red" or "blue," "Democrat" or "Republican" just cloud the issues over doctrinal lines. I vote for who I believe in, not because of the party.
