^ Still you have to wonder if, as Spider says, we are just choosing the face of the man who will [Smurf] us next. However, I have faith in my fellow man; not enough faith to trust blindly, but enough faith to give you the benefit of the doubt before anything is said or done. Realistically, that's a pretty fair assessment of the situation. Will the LP win this election? Realistically, no. Will I still vote for them? Yes. I will be the first to admit that I'm no expert on the system, but it does "rub me the wrong way" so-to-speak when it comes to the disproportionate way it treats more populous states over smaller ones. I know what you mean; my girlfriend grew up in North Carolina, and she says she felt all alone being an atheist Democrat in the "Bible Belt"

I'm backing Ron Paul, but unless hell freezes over & thaws multiple times he won't be nominated. McCain drives me up the wall, not only does he always have this constipated look on his face, but he's too liberal to be a Republican. Obama's a Muslim Marxist, & Hillary'll turn this country towards socialism by leaps & bounds. So even if I could vote, I'd abstain this year. (Unless Paul runs as an idependant)

(Unless Paul runs as an idependant) The idea of socialism isn't bad (helping people out), but the system itself doesn't work. Ironically enough, I'm writing a paper for my ethics class right now dealing with this kind of an issue in the context of America's role in dealing with world hunger.

Yep, Tis the shame of socialism that something so great fails so badly in practice. Especially when that practice deals with another country. Though there are some aspects of socialism that work great, such as universal healthcare. actually the advantage is for the small states. a Tiny state like Montana or vermont gets 3 delagates even if there are not enough people to qualify. Which, in a way, still doesn't matter against the behemoth of California Well, that's the bonus of getting soo many residents ;D

Universal healthcare sounds great, but it's not a good system. It's been failing in Europe & Canada, so obviously it makes sense to bring it here!

I'll say that the concept of universal health care is great (making sure people aren't dying for lack of insurance), but yeah, the current implementation isn't working. I especially abhor Clinton's mandatory provision within her version of US universal health care... It just makes you wonder; "cui bono". "Who benefits?" Is it the American people who profit from this health care bill, or is it Clinton?

Ok... my view? Oh, God, Please not Hilary or Obama! I'm sorta for Huckabee myself, but it no look like that'll happen. I don't really like any of the candidates. I'm a conservative myself, but I don't see anybody worth looking at. Hey... anyone think we can bring back Teddy Roosevelt? I'll help with the time machine!!!

Well, I would consider myself fiscally conservative, but I would appreciate having a more open-minded person in the White House... However, that doesn't mean that I whole-heartedly endorse forced acceptance of things you don't like. In other words, there is a major difference between tolerating something and accepting it; you can tolerate homosexuality but you don't have to accept it.
