I guess we should just consider ourselves lucky that George didn't turn American Graffiti into two sets of trilogies Or, even worse, "Willow" ;D

Well, Starwars had to be done, and if wilow had started on episode 4, we'd be writing about how badly done 1,2,3 was of that -unless he somehow made it awsome, which is doubtful

yeah but at least willow had two-headed dragons and trolls...when I watch Willow I'm sorry I can't help but see Star Wars...willow following his destiny(Luke)a princess(Leia) a scoundrel with a sword (Han) two small brownies that make me laugh (C-3PO R2) finding a sorceress (Obi-Wan) a very mean looking evil General (Vader) with a skull mask and an evil empress (Palpatine ok she's a woman but come on) and all trying to save a kingdom by returning a girl back to some mythic castle (the death star plans...a stretch I know but you can see it)...and my friends call me crazy... *maniacly laughing* *cough* *cough* and in the distance crickets play their happy song

No, I don't think you're crazy; I think you've come upon something. George Lucas may have realized after making Willow that all he can make are Star Wars films. In essence, he's written himself into a creative corner.

AMEN!!!!! I totally agree. Maybe he should just give it up. I think he will after the upcoming The Clone Wars cartoon; I will see it because, again, I liked Episode II, but other than that, he's pretty much hung up the creative towel. Which is probably just as well; it was starting to smell mildew-y

LOL. Nice. It'll be good to have him give it up, maybe we'll get some new talent.

As much as I love Star Wars, after "The Clone Wars" I don't think I'll want to see another one. Besides, comic movies are the "new Star Wars" franchises at any rate

I still want to see a live-action Star Wars movie...I would just like to see it set in another part of that universe
