The season opener was just shown here in Canada. I liked it, but I've forgotten some things from last season: What happened to Lionel Luthor? Why were his eyes blue & how did he know the Kryptonite would harm the disciples of Zod? I'm curious to find out who James Marsters turns out to play

:)Mysteries abound in Smallville Kansas. Lionel Luther who mascaraded as a blindman in season 2, was somehow actually blinded by the meteor shower. As for the Kryptonion symbol he etched on the floor, & the frightening remark about THE DISCIPLES OF ZOD! are a mystery.

Thanks arkhaminmate, I was pretty sure that Lionel saying that stuff came out of nowhere (meaning that it wasn't something that was a huge build up in last years season finale or something), but I wasn't sure. I hero you for your reply. ;D

I think Lionel knows something. Or has a connection, When the meteorites hit he could have had somekind of vission of Zod's plans.

My theory is that the stone in his pocket, when it lit up in the Season 4 Finale, gave him the Kryptonian knowledge. Kind of like Professor Waldman in Season 2 when he put the key in the cave and it blew back at him. He walked around with new Kryptonian knowledge and creepy glossed over eyes.
I don't want to give away anything about Marsters, but he's definitely playing a comic book-related character...

Tonights episode...Aqua.
Aquaman was just flippin' great! I loved the ep as much as Flash last season. His powers were done very well but i didn't see him communicate with any fish.
James Marsters did a bloody good job. We now know James Marsters will play Prof. Milton Fine. Dead giveaway.
Some easter eggs i got a laugh out of... ---A.C. (arthur curry)-"not bad. maybe we could start the junior lifeguard association or something". Clark-"i don't think i'm ready for the JLA just yet" ---A.C. telling Lex that he doesn't have his own Entourage. Entourage is an HBO series that has a running gag about aquaman. Just great fun there. ---Clark being called superboy ---Lois saying she'll never meet a guy again who cares so much about the world and clark replying that "you'll meet someone even more special someday"

I've been impressed by the great first 3 episodes this season, but I just had to fall asleep for 5 hours the night of Aqua... Not that the main draw of that ep for me was Aquaman; he was cool, I'm sure, but I was really looking forward to seeing James Marsters' character for the first time besides his brief appearance in episode 1, and Lex being bad to an extent. I'll see it sooner or later, tho. I wasn't home when Thirst aired, but I have it on tape, and still haven't gotten around to watching it. But from what I've seen, Season 5 is going to be a solid season.

I read some where that he was supposed to be brainiac. can anyone back that up. He's definitely Braniac, if that isn't apparent from the last episode, Solitude. Which was very good, IMO. The episode I really want to see is Lexmas, the Lex-centered Christmas episode. I thought they were going to show it last week, but it turns out I didn't read the air date on KryptonSite, and that it will air December 8. Not too far away now, tho.
