I know for a fact that there's a terrific Batman reference within at least two of Tim Burton's other films. In Edward Scissorhands, Edward discovers a clown doll on Kim's bed that features red lips and green hair. During the course of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we learn that Charlie's father worked at a company called Smilex.
In Shaun of the Dead, Shaun and Ed decide that the 1989 Prince Batman soundtrack is worth using as a ranged weapon against the undead.
What other '89 Batman references have you encountered in films?
