Okay, ever since Superman Returns came out in 2006, I have been reading statements on such sites as Variety and Comic Book Resources that "Yes, a new Superman film is coming out," or "No, the property is dead." According to one recent news article from CBR, a new Superman film must be in development lest DC Comics (or, DC Entertainment, Inc.) lose ownership of the character.
Until something is officially stated by WB or DC E., this board will remain up and running.

It'd be weird to have Supes become public property. That would make it... old... O.O ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I've been hearing bits here and there that the new films will scrap the original Superman films and start from scratch, which, if done carefully, could be beneficial for fans and filmmakers alike.

One can hope. There's not much to say about the old ones. Just saying.
