...watching traditional, non CGI animation on Blu-Ray high-definition DVDs? I ask this because I was thinking about purchasing the Venture Brothers: Season III dvd set on Blu-Ray (eventually), but hesitated when I remembered that there wouldn't be any depth in a 2-D cartoon

Well from the information I have, apparently there is some extra detail on the characters and the images are supposed to be sharper but other than that I don't really think there is a difference.

Makes sense about added detail, as I have recently viewed a 2-D animated film on a ridiculously awesome HD TV.
