Does anyone actually own this? I've been looking for it ever since I found out that one of my favorite Joker comics (Legends of the Dark Knight #50) featuring his first Year One continuity appearance was replaced by The Man Who Laughs...

For some reason when it was released, it was only limited. I got it as soon as it was out. It's cool. Nothing great, in my opinion, but if you're patient, it's being reprinted in hardcover on January 30th.

If you've read Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #50 ("Images"), what did you think of it in comparison to The Man Who Laughs?

I've heard of Images, but I've never gotten a hold of it to read it, sadly.

I never read The Man Who Laughs, but after about 3 years of hunting I finally bought LOTDK #50. It's one of my favorite issues. I particularly love Brian Bolland's cover, & the interior art compliments it perfectly, the story was a bit recycled, but it was good. I've heard that bits of TDK is based on The Man Who Laughs, so Tim, if you can't find it, I'd suggest looking at the library, if they don't have it there you should search the catalogue, chances are another branch has it & you can get it sent to your branch so you can read it.

Cool! Personally, I think both interpretations could work based on summaries I've read. What I really enjoyed the most about LOTDK #50, though, was seeing how narcissistic and disturbing the Joker really is. He's a sociopath and a monster, but a showman nonetheless...
