I don't have a subscription anymore so I have no idea if the recent single issues are worth buying, let alone reading... So, my question is this; is "Batman RIP" worth reading?

Should I just wait for the TPB to come out? I can get really addicted to a great storyline and I can't wait for new installments

I'd buy the issues as they come out & wait. Don't read them, just buy the graphic novel. Cause if they do kill off Batman we might have a repeat of the Superman incident in the 90's.

To be honest, I actually really enjoyed that storyline; "So, you think Superman's obsolete?" Then, they killed him; they actually killed him. He's back now, but even so, he died and was resurrected from the grave...

I'm not sayin the story was bad. Infact it's one of my favorite Superman stories. I was refering to the drastic markup days after the books where released. However.... I think I've found some good news... here's page 1 from the new issue. the rest of the story takes place 6 months later. So I'm quite sure this is a sign that Batman will not die.

Ah, yes, the dreaded "Collector's Craze" of the early 90's... Why bother with good writing when a shiny cover will bring in the revenue? Cool, but here's a question for you; how do we know that's Bruce? Could it be someone else taking up the mantle so that Bruce Wayne's dream will live on?

True. it could be anybody. I just hope it's not Grayson again. Having Dick replace Bruce once is enough. I was thinking awhile back that if he does die, Damian would take his place. But he looks to tall & too bulky to be Damian.

Now that we know that Grant Morrison's other writings over the past year or so have lead up to this, what if the Return of Jason was meant to be something far more important than we realized?
