No, because it was a different type of fusion generator; a biological one. It's powered off of microscopic bacteria which produce water as a waste product... I know; it sounds farfetched. Then again, the technology in Batman comics sometimes predicts devices that are used by actual police officers.

Speaking of water, Wikipedia states that the Batcave is sometimes powered by hydro-electricity due to the underground sources of water...

I'm not sure if it's all limestone (I think I read somewhere that it was granite as well), although I'll be sure to post anything here if I find otherwise!
