DC is short for "Detective Comments", which is a purposeful reference to the free speech columns in the back of every issue of the monthly Detective Comics until the advent of the Internet. I founded DC in the fall of 2005 after my disgust with corruption and hypocrisy of a website called "The Legions of Gotham"; you can read of my accounts while at Legions of Gotham, as well as accounts from other members, here. With that being said, I wanted to create a website, initially, for Batman fans to interact with fellow fans around the world without fearing the wrath of a paranoid administration. Several months went by when an epiphany of sorts struck me (figuratively, of course ;D ); I would symbolically represent the differing opinions of the members by making the site feature not only Batman, but Superman as well. From that point on, DC has become a forum where "the World's Finest" fans can discuss their favorite or least favorite elements of the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel in an atmosphere that welcomes differing viewpoints or opinions. While I may not always agree with the views of DC's members, there is one thing that we can all agree on; the right to freedom of speech and expression. Welcome to Detective Comments: Home of the World's Finest Fan Opinions Edited to add punctuation Edited to fix broken link (9/7/07)

Wow. Its nice to know I'm not the only one that had extreme issues with LOG. A very strange website.

I hope that DC can serve as an open-minded antithesis to LOG in the present and future...
