Split from: Latest+Figure+PurchasesI've just picked up The Brave and the Bold #1, and boy am I glad that I did! For the first time ever (IMO), George Perez's pencils weren't "wasted" so-to-speak with poor writing... Mark Waid did a terrific job by writing a fast-paced script, and an even better job between the interactions of Batman and Green Lantern.

I went down to Half price books to look through the usually terrible comic bins & found some good ones for once DC Annual 7 ( the Elseworlds pirate story) SOTB 48 (that issue with the creepy Scarface cover) Batman 252
Great issues too. The Elseworlds story was great & inventive, the art was amazing too. If I can find my USB cord I'll upload a pic of The Joker. Seriously frightening. The Scarface ish was okay. I bought it mostly for the cover. Batman 252 was an average issue by Doug Moench with great art by Kelley Jones.

The pirate one? I remember that one! I think I somehow ended up with two copies of it...

Well, today was the last day for my shop's tie-in with "300", where you could bring in your ticket stub and recieve 15% your total purchase... I was scrounging through the back-issues, and I found...
Batman #401 Batman #402 Birds of Prey #1 Batman: Blackgate: Isle of Men #1 The Adventues of Superman #545 (1st Appearance of Superman's "Blue" Costume ;D ) ... and Robocop #18.
*Note: I know that this is somewhat off-topic, but it relates loosely to the main topic.
It was hilarious because when I went up to the counter to pay for them, Micheal, the guy who runs the shop, looked at all of the Batman issues, and said "those are some great issues." As soon as he said that and got to the Robocop, I just deadpanned "...and Robocop", as he burst out laughing...
The comics suck, but, boy do I love Robocop... ;D

I got my hands on Batman Hush Returns a while back. It is a bizarre comic but a good one.

Which version of DKR did you buy? Was it a first edition or a reprint?
