"Kilowog, Tomar Re, Salakk, all of them more powerful and more accomplished, but they are just power ring fodder compared to Hal" < my interpritation of the stupid GL writers. ^ Exactly... "Hal has a superior willpower..." Bull- ; Batman's out there every night, literally taking a bullet, knife-stab, and brass-knuckle punch without the aid of a mystical trinket/ powers... The best human heroes are the ones who don't have to cheat in order to win in the end...That's just me though...

I agree, to an extent. Characters wish more of an advantage via powers of trinkets useualy have tougher enemies. Take Superman for example. He is one of the most powerful DC character. He also has one of the most powerful foes in DC, Darkseid. Superman may not be human, but he is in the same boat as Batman.

AGREED! We are veering a bit off topic here and I don't want DH (that'd be you) yelling at us.

I hero you! ^^ I had a question for you as well; why does Parallax's costume look the way it does? Is there a point to it, or was it just another example of DC's "extreme grunge" fad from the early 1990's?

I wish I knew. My only theroy is that is remenises of the race that combated the Paralax before the GL corps. Other than that, I do not know. And thanks for the Hero.

^ Well, it's a better theory than any that I could have come up with... ;D
I have another question: what happens to a green lantern when they die? Do they (like the Jedi) become one with OA/ become part of the power of the battery? I know that it sounds outlandish, but I was just curious about it...

No, I am pretty sure that they just die, but another GL takes his/her place. Like Abin Sur and Hal Jordan.

Like Abin Sur and Hal Jordan. ^ I guess that the "almighty guardians" believe that all life is expendable..."Why fix it when you can just replace it?" I'm not entirely sure that even I would stay in the corps with that kind of mentality from the "higher up's"...
