Split from: Joker+I think cameos are a great idea. I particularly like your "Joker Fish" idea. IF they shot a scene in Arkham, say... Gordon & Batman discussing Harvey while walking through a hall filled with cells. They stop infront of a door & continue their conversation. When from the cell: "You wanna know how I got these scars?" Gordon & Bats: "No" they walk off & continue talking about whatever, & you faintly here the Joker talking to noone about his father & the kitchen knife. Personally, I think the scars were self-inflicted by Joker as part of his twisted mission of showing how evil people really are. In my mind, his goal basically entails causing chaos by inverting social norms and corrupting symbols... Symbols like Harvey Dent, Batman and the Gotham Police Department. Fear is the greatest weapon of the Joker, and this was definitely evident by the nervousness I encountered when friends of mine who'd seen The Dark Knight expressed their reactions to his make-up. What's your opinion on Joker's scars?

Personally i think they were unecessary to have them on his face it should have been more of a modus operandi for him.

Perhaps an accident whilst shaving? it would be oddly funny if the psychopaths trademark smile came from a mundane source.

That's one hell of a shaving accident, but I like the idea of it coming out of a somehow mundane accident.
