So far, I've heard "Shadow of the Bat" as the main title people use to attribute to the film. I thought "Dark Detective" may work, as it would hint at more criminology in the sequel. Plus, it would be a nice tribute to the late Steve Englehart MARSHALL ROGERS' ( ;D ) mini-series of the same name.

Dark Detective would be cool and the detective work would definitely need to come into play if the Riddler is coming, as rumored. Personally, I'd love Shadow of the Bat to be the title for a movie introducing Robin. I'm curious- what was the comic book line Shadow of the Bat about? Whoa, whoa, Steve Englehart lives! But R.I.P. Marshall Rogers.

M.R.E. Mr. E....Mystery...An Enigma...E. Nygma...Edward Nygma! Brilliant detective work, Bruce & Alfred!
Okay, cool. So using it as a title probably wouldn't need to be tied into any specific content.
Oh, no problem, I was just thrown for a second when I thought that Englehart had died too.

I was going to make a mention of using "TDKR" Still, "Shadow of the Bat" would be cool for foreshadowing the introduction of a new character, whether in the form of Catwoman or Robin

I don't know about that one; it implies his death or demise. Cool idea though

maybe it does mean the downfall of Batman...it is still early in his career, maybe something he gets involved spirals him out of control and that's when you introduce Dick Grayson to help get him back up...a large villain that rhymes with FrayCase??
