Ok, so I have a feeling that Two-Face will be returning for the sequel, but I'm not sure if WB would want to bring Joker back. Personally, I'm all for recasting him but the executives might not think so.
I've been hearing a lot about the Riddler coming back as well... What do you think about that?

I'd love to see Riddler. He brings out the detective side of Batman.
There's so many ways they could do him that would be different from the Batman Forever version. For one thing, he doesn't have to be a Wayne Enterprises employee. He doesn't have to wear the skintight suit. The actor can play it more calm, cool, and collected than Gorshin and Carrey did.
He could be any age, really, to work (as long as he's not somebody who looks like he's still in high school/college or somebody who looks like he should be a senior citizen). They could have him be like Kruger and Ross's version in Justice as someone whose childhood trauma gave him the compulsion to leave riddles. Or he could be like he is in Dini's Detective Comics, in that he is a private detective (and, in reverse of continuity, become a villain).
In terms of costuming, I rather like the one that Ross illustrated in Justice and could see that working on film. I've also thought of a design I'd call "Agent Smith in a bowler hat" since it's pretty much the same black suit-and-sunglasses look, but there's a green question mark on the hat and on the tie and the sunglasses are a bit greenish too.
Casting- TO me, they need is someone with a slender body type who can pull off playing intensely obsessed and arrogant. I think there are a lot of actors who could pull this off.

I'd love to see Riddler. He brings out the detective side of Batman. Anyone else here read Alex Ross' "Justice" series? His take on the Riddler involved using holographic puzzles targeting the optical centers of the brain. Plus, the whole "escalation" theme could be carried over in the form of Riddler's cyber-terrorism being a copy of Joker's physical terrorism. That reminds me of the one complaint my mom had (she's a comic fan, too ;D ) about Dr. Crane in Batman Begins; he looked like he was too young to have the level of doctorates to be in the position he was in. Or, the Year One Batman annual from '95 that showed the Riddler as a child being ignored and desperately seeking attention. A buddy of mine on DeviantArt made something like that for me in a "micro man" pixelated figure micromaned.deviantart.com/art/Black-Suit-Riddler-90191515If David Tennant can calm down a little bit and not try for Gorshin or Carrey, then he could work, IMO.

^Yeah, I could see that. Doing a similar interpretation to those previous actors would be a misstep not only because of their association with the lighter portrayals that the new films are trying to get away from, but also because I think it'd be a bit cheap to follow up such a (as I'm predicting) popular interpretation of Joker with a villain who is also hyper and cackling.
I've only read Vol. 1 (I made my friend who got it for me promise to get me the other volumes for later gifts). The Riddler chapter in it was cool as was the Batcomputer file at the end of the TPB.
Wow, that's awesome. And pretty close to the one in my head, too.
One name I heard rumored at Batman-On-Film was Catwoman. I think that could also definitely work into the escalation theme of people trying to emulate Batman. Really, what ties her to Batman, is her costume. Obviously, the costume should be different from the Halle Berry travesty. I mean, how hard is it to do a skintight dark suit for a cat burglar? I rather like the Darwyn Cooke design with the goggles. As sexy as the Jim Balent design looks, I don't think it'd be wise for Catwoman to let her hair be free like that when she sneaks into people's places to steal. And I never got why she wore purple, either. Also, the origin should stray away from dying/having a near-death experience and getting revived by cats.
So...Catwoman & Riddler? Makes me curious to pick up Catwoman: When in Rome (has anyone read it? If so, is it good?).

Here's hoping the writing team is up to the task Wow, that's awesome. And pretty close to the one in my head, too. The Darwyn Cooke design is my favorite as well, goggles and all. Personally, I imagine an actor* like Carrie Anne Moss to play Selina Kyle. Hell, I already think she looked great in "The Matrix" *As far as I know, the term should be unisex. It was probably a coloring technique like the Joker's black suit with purple highlights; over time, printing errors made it so that her whole outfit was purple. That movie was so horrific to watch; what really galls me is the idea that it was on American Movie ClassicsBought the single; didn't like it (it felt like Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale were trying too hard) so I never finished the series.

^Hmm, how disappointing.
I dig Carrie-Anne Moss. A fun semi-related trivia tidbit I remember about her is that she's admitted to being a cat person (I have no idea how I know/remember that). Not sure if I see her doing it, but I agree that she's the right type.

or maybe introduce the character of Selina Kyle and not show her in the catwoman suit...just mention a new thief in the papers...as far as the riddler no...I want to see a character not shown in any previous movies to give the kiddies entering this new era a chance to see a different villain not yet seen...I mean this new series is about him starting out...maybe have someone who has the ability to change his shape into different people or objects I'm not saying his name but it rhymes with Shmaylace?? personally I'd like to see the Ventriloquist and Scarface...Arkham spilled out into the streets in the first one...he could be one of the missing? and maybe have oswald cobblepot as a lowkey fence who operates a nightclub a la BTAS...not even calling him directly as the penguin but cause of his appearance everyone refers to him as that?and Batman using him as an informant using the right amount of persuasion? If they use elements from Justice with the background of the Riddler but using the original design from the animated show with the bowler and not an over the top actor (sorry Jim Carrey I like the idea of David Tennant or maybe Crispin Glover if they don't use him in the future for the Joker i could see that)

also I like the ending of Batman Begins with Gordon telling him about a villain on the loose and showing a piece of evidence left at the scene of the crime...hope they end all the new ones that way...great way to tie in all the movies together

Evil Twin over at Batman-On-Film made an interesting argument for Black Mask that I will post here:
