My top three would be as follows:
1.) Episode V 2.) Episode II 3.) Episode IV
The Empire Strikes Back is, IMO, one of the best sequels ever made and features the kind of sub-plots that actually bolster rather than drag down the movie. Episode II, for me, was amazing because of the political intrigue, clone army, and beginning of the Clone Wars. The one that started it all, Star Wars, is my final pick because it introduced the saga that gave us these movies.
What are your top three favorites and why?

I mean even a new hope was better than epsiode 2... (retracts his previous statement...after thinking about it) episode 3 was better than return...almost...I didn't like the ewoks...but I also didn't like the only time you see vader in the prequels he whines and throws a tantrum...I guess since you have hayden (can't act out of a wet paper bag made from his tears) christianson in the suit who can you blame? George Lucas *sorry chokin on my own rage here* god I need a cigarette

George Lucas *sorry chokin on my own rage here* god I need a cigarette I hate Christansen as well, but I loved Episode II for: - The origin of the clone army
- The rise of Palpatine (my favorite character)
- The Battle of Geonosis
- Jango Fett
- The origin of the Skywalker twins
I love the themes of Episode II (romance, intrigue... etc), but the acting was terrible; I usually just imagine who I think would be a better actor for the part and enjoy the context of the film.

yeah palpatine is a schemy old buzzard...Jango Fett was underused though...would have liked to see him kill a lot of Jedi before his head got sliced off

the last three. Although I was all excited when the new movies came out, They are just... not as good. I was honestly sad at the end of 3 because the new trilogy left me feeling empty. I didnt even care when padme died which is kinda amazing since she barely aged throughout the series and i was beginning to think she was immortal. And if their love was a secret, shouldnt every other jedi have noticed? they can notice all of the emotions and link them up. can't they notice that Anakin's looking a little more tired in the morning than usual? And he didnt even bring balance to the force. all he did was tip the scales. It took Luke to do that (cause by then both sides were wiped out and luke is more of a Light Grey Jedi than anything else) and then there was the whole mass murder of Jedi-lets at the academy which was just wrong, especially since an entire building should have been better defended than that.
breathe.. breathe...
anyway, I'm voting for the original trilogy

that was the whole idae of the prophecy,Qui-gon thought it was this kid with more midachlorines (god that was a stupid addition...original trilogy made it this myth...new ones made it into a disease) and would bring balance to the force...yoda mentioned if read incorrectly could mean something else...Luke was the one who brought balance by destroying the Emperor (ok he had help from his dad)and ending the Sith...at the time...maybe the reason he wore the black naval uniform in Return because he used both sides of the Jedi coin
