Eh, that's more a wednesday thing. Thursdays are more an attempt at getting stuff to explode. Friday is the let's throw stuff & see what flies day. Saturday is plug 'n' plays. Sunday's cartoons. Monday's mimicking cartoons. Tuesday's jumping off of and/or crushing stuff. But yeah, you get the idea. It's certainly entertaining. Safe? no. Entertaining? mostly. Well, at least you've got your whole week planned out

One of my favorite heroes is the 1970's TV version of Spider-Man. Peter Parker was a college student (I believe) while working as a photographer and super-hero. What was great for me growing up was seeing a Spider-Man who didn't endlessly mope or whine his way across the screen, but was nonetheless a nerd and geek like he was in the comics

Yeah, whiney kinda underminds the whole "hero" thing. As does constant "and the moral of this story is..." type plots.

That's essentially why I lost interest in Spider-Man growing up; his character never evolved beyond the aforementioned simplistic narratives. To me, the last great Spider-Man story was "Kraven's Last Hunt."

Oh, man, if that's the one I'm thinking of that one was great. Kraven and Doc Ock (until he became redundant) were the only reasons I kept up w Spidey outside of the crossovers (x-men crossover and blade crossover especially

I would have to say either Thor or Death of the Endless, Thor because despite being a god he takes on a side job as an ambulance driver making him one of the rare heroes that saves people with our without a cape and Death because she comes off as caring and keeps her brother Dream in check when hes all mopey about being trapped in a bottle for decades.

I think you're the first person who has ever gotten me even remotely interested in Thor (Sorry; Lee's writing always makes me cringe). That, and you've now given me another reason to read Gaiman's Sandman ;D

Death is always good for a hero, and the Endless Death from the Sandman is great because she's more Human than most humans. And Thanatos from Piers Anthony's On a Pale Horse is also great for the same reason. Instead of merely being a Psychopomp these two characters actually have emotions about the job they have to perform.
But I like DEATH (caps to differentiate this DEATH from the other Death) from the Discworld series more because unlike the other two deaths, DEATH cant understand the people he's working with, and only through more and more contact with humans is he beginning to learn the foolishness and meaning of humankind. He has the wisdom from being Uber old, but is also somewhat awkward when dealing the the beings he will send to the afterlife.
One of his more memorable parts is when he is forced to watch his own (adopted) daughter die in a horrific accident. He wanted to do something, but he had to follow her wish to remain human. All he could do was to makes sure that she died instantly.
