I don't count Luthor as a threat. He doesn't win. As for Supe's fears, I haven't seen them enough to truly count those either. You have to look further than the surface to find the answers. In the long run, yes, Luthor doesn't win; but he is a dangerous adversary. In the story Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, then-President Luthor framed Superman with an impending asteroid crash hailing from the remains of Krypton. The only way he failed and was kicked out of office was because of himself, not Superman or Batman. In the story Superman: Red Son, Lex Luthor calculates a way to defeat Superman forty years in advance, and the only reason why President Superman lived was because of a misplaced decimal point. In terms of fears, the storyline Superman: Emperor Joker featured (at one point in the tale) a Man of Steel trapped in a world where everyone he touched died; not because he was poisonous or evil, but because of his super-strength. Not necessarily; Batman is the "world's greatest escape artist" rather than "the world's greatest limited-season plot device." He is hyper-attuned to his body and surroundings and can come up with amazing escapes that we could never dream of. There is, however, a trade off; he can barely do the "normal" things we take for granted. For example (I'll try to get the exact issue number later), in the 90's there was a period where Alfred left the employ of the Wayne's. Batman had no idea how to make a sandwich, fold a shirt, or anything else that makes up our lives; not because he's rich, but because he has a positive, if not ruthless, single-minded way of looking at the world. Of course they're improbable; all of this is, after all, adventure fantasy. With Batman, however, the improbable almost becomes reality. Boys and girls can pretend to be Superman, but they can never be Superman. They can, however, become Batman if they do well in school, keep active and never give up hope. Batman may not have powers, but he is the most human of all heroes.

I guess I'll have to take your word on it. As I said before, I don't care enough to negate. ...But still...

Depends... We'll probably have to send Rogue, Dazzler, cyclops, and Jean to confront Magneto on his new moon base while Wolverine, Cable, and Storm take on the Blob and Pyro in the Amazon. Beast'll probably be looking into that last time-space anomaly and the Proffesor has located a new mutant in a small town in Iowa. Take your pick! LOL...
Gotta love fanfics

Gotta love fanfics Speaking of Magneto, I'm really looking forward to the Magneto prequel film coming out in a year or two. To be honest, I actually enjoyed his character more on film than in the comics, and to see why he's so distraught with humanity by experiencing his childhood is going to be one fascinating film.

I concur. However, paradoxical and idiotic though it may be, I may not be allowed to watch it because it is based on a villain. Parentals think I'll take after anything I watch LOL... gotta love faulty logic.
