Whatever Happened to the B:TAS CGI-Gotham?

"The current plan is to use the computer generated Gotham City from the movie [*in reference to Mask of the Phantasm]," Timm said.
The map itself is a technological triumph. An upcoming feature film, it will eventually be used for the series [Batman: The Animated Series]. "The map is amazing," Timm said, "Gotham City exists. All we have to do is tell the computer where we want to start, and where we want to end and we can zoom anywhere."

Whatever happened to this CGI map, and why wasn't it used in any animated series?

That would've been amazing. Was it used in all of MOTP or just the title sequence? Sucks they never used it in the series

Just the title sequence; maybe they planned on using more of it in MOTP, but the editing process forced them to drop it?
