I wanted to watch this series in earnest, but I don't know what the appeal of the show is... If you're a Superman fan would you reccommend that I watch this series from the beginning on DVD?

i looooved small ville, i used to watch every episode.... until i realized how repetative it was. I personally watched the first 3 seaons... 2 of which i just watched to see what strange tale would happen next. but like i said it gets waaaay to repetative. oh look! she got kidnapped!!....... again
