people when it comes to the justice league season 2 episode a better world i got a question
when it comes to the justice lords are they originally solely meant to be an alternate universes version of the justice league gone rougue as the team went from being the heroe's to antiheros to villains
or were they meant to be from the very start the justice league from the main universal reality as they would eventually exist in the not so distant future in the sense that the justice league meeting the justice lords was itself an event that was always meant to happen as a part of a self contained predestined timeloop in the time line of the single main universe that the animated dc continuity exists in?

Hmm... Good question! Without getting overly technical, I think Justice League was dabbling in the "alternate dimensions" which were prevalent in DC Comics prior to "Crisis on Infinite Earths." My theory on any alternate earth is that they exist because of the choices we make in our lifetimes; in the case of the Justice Lords, they made the choice to kill President Luthor in order to remove him from office. All of those events, however, came about because Luthor was elected; they could have chosen to expose him as a fraud instead of just killing him. At any rate, time is fluid rather than being set in stone; anything that happens in the future happens because of what occurred in the past. So, if you know your future and wish to prevent a certain outcome, you could do so.

me i figure it was more a case of a predestined timeloop
the league literally faced their single greatest fear, that they would not be able to to avoid temptation and that they would ultimately fail in their mission in becoming the very things as a team that they fight against
looking back on it that whole line the justice lords batman said about literally being his justice league counterpart makes a bit more sense now in the sense that they are both one and the same person.
my guess is that at some point in time in the justice lords reality the justice league john jones read both batmans minds and then gave each batman his counterparts memories with this being done as a way for the 2 batmen to effectively map and cross referance the series of events wich coccured between the justice leagues present day and the point in time that the elague would become the justice lords
batman always was all of 2 whole steps ahead of everyone else.
me i figure at some point over time between season 2 and 3 batman spoke with the question on the matter and in return for his assistance in helping bruce understand the whole matter from the view point o of a well seasoned experienced conspiracy theorist viewpoint bruce would eventually vouch for the question in giving him a reasonable chance to gain membership as a member of the jlu
