Jett over at Batman-On-Film is raising a fuss over why Batman shouldn't be in the upcoming Justice League film by WB... On that happy note, I have this to say; I believe that he shouldn't be in the film, as he is primarily concerned with his hometown and is, at the end of the day, not a "team player." For an in continuity example of this, read Mark Waid's excellent JLA: Year One.

Well, it doesn't look like Bale will be Batman in this movie, but overall, I don't want to see a young, rookie Batman in this film.
First off, it always made more sense to me that the heroes would join the Justice League after establishing themselves in their own territories (Superman fighting for truth, justice, and the American way for a couple years in Metropolis, for example).
Second, since Bale won't be in the film, I think this version of Batman should be different from the Nolan interpretation. Making him older and more experienced by a few years and maybe putting him in a different suit would probably help do the trick. I have no interest in seeing a different, late 20s/early 30s actor in a similar suit to the one in Begins/The Dark Knight trying to impersonate Bale. To me, it's either Batman is the one from the Nolan films and embodied by Christian Bale or a different one entirely.
Lastly, it seems that they're going with the OMAC storyline. From what I've read about it on Wiki, I'd say that Batman would definitely have spent enough time as a crimefighter and with the Justice League members for him to have established his contingency plans against them and the Brother Eye device in the first place. I'd see it as a bit of a stretch for a rookie Batman to have come up with that right away.

Unless, we're talking about rookie "The Batman" with techno-suits and what-not... ;D
Yeah, now that you mention it, it wouldn't really seem believable for Bruce to come up with all of those complex gadgets unless he had experience dealing with the costumed psychopaths in Gotham... And right about now, he's about to learn that clowns aren't always funny...
