S:I= Season One/ Volume One for the DVDs
Wanted to stream-line the topics into "official" threads...
That, and I thought that a poll would be an interesting way to gauge what the fans really enjoyed about the show...Don't worry; I'm updating the post count for everyone who's post was deleted then moved; you will recieve a post count for your threads being moved to here and elsewhere...
What's your favorite episode from the 1st Season/ volume of the Batman: The Animated Series DVDS? For me, I'm torn between the Two-Face/ Clayface 2-parters, but, the Mad Hatter episode has become my new favorite because of Roddy McDowell's vocal performance; for me, he IS the Mad Hatter...
I'm probably going to go with Feat of Clay, Part II, because it features some of WB's finest animation (the end "death" sequence), and is one of the few that I can vividly recall from my memories as a young boy...Ron Pearlman's Clayface voice IS Clayface whenever I watch it...Scary to watch at a young age, but, ultimately making for an intriguing episode, and a villain that I can feel sorry/ pity for...
What's your favorite episode, and why is it your favorite?

Hey all - I loved the episodes contained in this volume - the ones i love most are - Pretty Poison Two Face Part 1 Two Face Part 2 Feat of Clay Part 1 Feat of Clay Part 2 and Mad as a Hatter! I thought there were more but when i look at these ones its either due to the character - Poison Ivy etc., Storyline or the emotion/tension -Two Face etc.

Heart of Ice is one of the best Batman stories out there. I love the ending. FREEZE: Vengeance... BATMAN: No. Justice. And then later, to Boyle BATMAN: Good night...humanitarian... I just love that bitter, yet monotone delivery.
What's also cool about this episode is that Harley and Joker are already together. Mark "The Joker" Hamill does the voice of Ferris Boyle (if you couldn't tell by his delivery of "We're willing to listen" in the beginning) and there's that one scene when Bruce is visiting him and Boyle's secretary calls in. And of course that secretary's voice sounds like Arleen "Harley Quinn" Sorkin. I thought that was really cool.
An honorable mention has got to go to Appointment in Crime Alley. Great character depth, more insight into Bruce's past, and a cool way to show that Batman is truly a hero and not just a vigilante.

Appointment in Crime Alley is my choice. It seemed like the most cinematic of any episode. It didn't have a supervillain and it still had the epic feel of the animated series.

Mine is Two-Face part 2. (I voted for part 1 because I was confused) Harvey's dialogue midway are my absolute favorite lines in the show
"Chance, Grace. Chance is everything. Whether you're good or bad, whether you live or die. This is my world now. A dicotomy of order and chaos.... Just like me."
