Will it be the same actor who's going to be in the new movie?

Did you read the Hulk director's interview where he tries to cover his ass about Cap's cameo by saying he's the super-soldier serum?

The original beginning to the film was set in the Arctic and rumor has it that there would've been a glimpse of Captain America frozen as Banner or Hulk passes by. The sequence is the prologue in the novelization and Craig Armstrong even has a track titled "The Arctic" on the score CD.
But then, the whole Arctic sequence was completely cut and there went Captain America.
Oops.

Wow; I love how the director hypes this scene and still includes the track on the score when it's finally cut out... That'd be like hearing a track on a Danny Elfman score for a scene where we found out how the hell the Red Triangle Circus gang got the Batmobile blueprints.

^ *looks at Batman Returns Soundtrack* "A track called 'WayneTech Heist?' What the hell? That wasn't even in the movie!" Jk
I must say, they did kind of screw over the film a bit (mainly the Arctic scene and the additional scenes with Leonard Samson) and Edward Norton with those cuts. I'd love to have seen the longer cut that Norton was vying for. It seems that the closest I'm getting to that is reading the Peter David novelization.
Back to Captain America, I don't know much about Cap, but a live-action superhero set during WWII intrigues me. The last superhero "period pieces" I can remember were The Shadow and The Phantom. Hopefully Captain America (or "The First Avenger: Captain America" as Marvel insists) will be more successful. I can totally see them ending it with him frozen in the ice and then having him thawed out in The Avengers film.
On that note, the apparent slate for Marvel is, after Wolverine next year, Iron Man II and Thor in 2010 and then The First Avenger: Captain America and then The Avengers in 2011.
I have my doubts it will happen exactly like this, though. First off, Favreau and Downey are worried that 2010 is too soon. My advice to Marvel is to listen to these guys 'cause I'd much rather see an Iron Man movie when the cast and crew were given as much time as possible to make it good, rather than rushed to put it out there (I swear, whenever I heard X-Men 3 news, this is exactly what I thought. Ugh.). Honestly, guys, there doesn't have to be so many superhero films in one year.
Next, I can't see them releasing Captain America and The Avengers in the same year. I just can't, especially since you'd have to have an actor willing to bet his career on starring in two subsequent blockbuster superhero films in an iconic role with a huge fanbase and available for filming both movies.
And I think it would be wiser for them to do Captain America next instead of Thor because of how much the super soldier serum ties into the new Hulk movie.
I guess we'll see. I'm excited about the idea of having this Marvel film universe, but they have to do it right or else it will be a disaster. C'mon guys, it won't kill you to take an extra year or two to properly develop these films. The public is not going to die if they don't see The Avengers until 2013 instead of 2011. In fact, they'd be much more willing to watch it if all the standalone films for each Avenger were well done, rather than rushed.
