everybody uses either leather or rubber in the suits, if Singer wanted to make a sequel form Donner's movie he should have used a cloth suit Yeah, the only time I could dig a rubber suit was in Batman Begins; it just looked like it worked...

because the rubber suits his style, cause he would need something bulletproof, Superman is naturally bulletproof so he doesn't need the extra padding

I think he did a pretty good job, all things considered...

Personally, I'd go with the traditional Christopher Reeve suit design (bigger S shield, lower neckline and all), with the same dark shade of blue from Superman Returns. And make the red darker than the Reeve suit, but lighter than the maroon hue on the Routh suit.

The maroon just didn't work; the red needs to be brighter; after all, it's Superman we're talking about here and not the X-Men.

I think Singer has a leather fetish, all the suits in X-men were re-done in leather and the cape in Superman was leather as well, bet he sleeps with one of the masks with the zipper mouth... yes mifftreff!!!

I say get rid of the muscles and make it a true super suit... he gets his power from the sun so why in Zod's name does he need sculpted abs.

To convince us that he's "super;" WB is attempting to pay homage to Christopher Reeve with mixed results

I'd take that mix and throw it away...start fresh...and stop using richard donner as inspiration...we need a fresh look...if you look at the comics he does have a deeper neckline and the cape hangs off of it and not tucked in...god I wish they do this sequel right and not make it another 2 hours of him brooding over Lois...we get it...now kill the kid and make him punch somethin
