that blows. I don't get why he'd cast Tom Cruise? he's just got this amazing ability to act badly. & I hate to backtrack, but, Dr. Strangelove is an amazing movie. & definately one of my favorites.
But how's A Clockwork Orange? I've seen bits of it here & there, but I never really sat down & watched it.

I wholeheartedly agree; the only thing I've ever liked him in was A Few Good Men because of the solid script. However, he still felt like an asshole to me behind even his fictional character. No worries about the backtracking I quote this one all the time when I want to simultaneously entertain and freak a person out: "Mandrake... Do you know anything about fluoridation?" Without trying to gush over it, it's one of my favorite films. It's disturbing, macabrely hilarious, insightful and painful to watch. Personally, it was the first time I ever saw "the Joker" on screen; a vicious and sadistic person whose soul is twisted and black... A person who hurts people because it makes him happy. There's a scene where the main character Alex is in prison and takes to the Holy Bible because of all the wars, bloodshed and beatings given to Jesus; that's how funked up this guy is.
