I hope they could use the cancer angle but with Luthor being exposed so many times to Kryptonite... I can see that working on-film; it was done in the comics, so it's "comics accurate." I wouldn't want to kill Luthor off just yet, but that's definitely one way for him to eventually exit the series.

Well, the good news is that the kid will die (which the writers tried to pass off as "tragic"), and I have a hunch that we'll see a punch before the start of next lunch.

groovy...I hope the two writers for the first one aren't doing the sequel...I mean they introduced a child...didn't have clark spend more time with his mother (I'm still mad at Donner for taking away Jonathan Kent)...going back to smallville was the only way he could get guidance...but keeping Jor-El in the fortress...how are they going to keep doing that? They can't get Marlon Brando to come back in and read some more lines for that character?

Yeah, I was borderline okay with Routh as Superman ( I respect him even though I don't completely like everything he did), but the writers were pretty bad... Even in interviews, I kept getting the feeling like they had no idea what the hell they were getting paid to do. I wish Marlon Brando could overcome his handicap of being dead to come back for a sequel, too...

^ Hahaha. Well, since the crystals, at the end of Superman Returns, are now in "New Krypton" in space, I don't think Kal-El can talk to daddy anymore
