Good question... I'm thinking it's after the first film ( yeah, I know ), and since Frank goes to New York to start his war on crime, I'm thinking that it takes place between the Spider-Man movies.

I don't know if they're going to bring the Punisher movies in the marvel fold...it would be nice to see or hear about him in upcoming films that deal with New York based superheroes

Well, that makes sense, especially if you consider that the Punisher is Marvel's (antithetical) Batman... He's an urban legend more than the other costumed crime fighters, so meeting up with him would be rare (and usually fatal)

I actually liked the one in 2004 and thought the extended version was even better. I am looking forward to this next version, however, and hopefully it will be better received.
Ray Stevenson looks the part, but I honestly don't care for the costuming with the distracting neck brace and faded skull. Like with The Dark Knight suit, I understand the need for armor, but I think it could look better.

Yeah, the faded skull is kind of ridiculous, but not quite as bad as the Dolph Lundren one from the 90's... I'm just digging the fact that this year will feature both Batman and Punisher on the silver screen

I like the suit he has, it's more real than a black and white jumpsuit where the skull meets the belt and acts as one
