From abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=4725121&page=1Naiveté at it's worst; "If 'x' group/person/species didn't exist, the world would be a better place..." I'd like to point out the following; a belief is a subjective or personal reflection of opinion. As such, it is grounded in truth not fact. With that being said, his opinion/hypothesis is not a guaranteed outcome. What's your take on this article?

Kinda silly. Most species have two genders and there have been two gendered species for millions of years. If the Y chromosone would be failing, it would have failed long ago. It's been found that the Y is much hardier than you would expect. When damaged, it actually canabalizes other Y's to repair itself. It can also scavange from itself, and X's when it needs to.
As for the article itself, It's kinda stupid. Saying that the entire wourld would be better without men is illogical. True, men are more aggressive, but without them, then there would be female aggressors to fill the void.

Kinda silly. Most species have two genders and there have been two gendered species for millions of years. If the Y chromosone would be failing, it would have failed long ago. I was thinking about that yesterday... 125,000 is nothing in terms of evolution, and for an entire sex to disapear from a species would take a far longer time than what Dr. McScientist mentioned in his article. It's been found that the Y is much hardier than you would expect. When damaged, it actually canabalizes other Y's to repair itself. It can also scavange from itself, and X's when it needs to. Well, that certainly is cool Isn't science and stuff awesome? As for the article itself, It's kinda stupid. Saying that the entire wourld would be better without men is illogical. True, men are more aggressive, but without them, then there would be female aggressors to fill the void. Exactly! Plus, there are more women in prison than the article admits...

Indeed!
You would think that if an entire sex was going to die out, there'd be some biological consequences for the entire animal kingdom...

Yeah, you'd think people would notice as animals suddenly disappear for lack of males. heck, by now there should be no males left according to that article

I just don't see how this guy's hypothesis is valid.
