No offense to anyone, but I've never understood Spidey's popularity. I like him, read his comics, enjoy his films, but I don't relate to him at all and I'm a teenager like he is! My friends seem to love him because of he swings from building to building. Perhaps they should read one of the original Bob Kane/Bill Finger Batman comics to see who started that trend in the first place...
The Shadow is my second favorite. He's essentially the predecessor of Batman. The alter ego. The dark costume that strikes fear in the hearts of criminals. The alliance with a policeman (Inspector Cardona in the pulps). It's a shame he's not as well known as some of the others. He has a large ring with a red stone in the middle. Just like my high school class ring ;D. Demon's Head, which version do you like better: the pulp version or the radio version?

Another one of my favorites is Dr. Fate. He is a very cool character in that he is VERY well balanced, but he uses mysterious magics and is in general an interesting character
