Eh... I just wish they'd figure out something that works. BB doesn't work... but neither does the big awkward thing in most other comics. Something that's both functional and fashionalble beyond the "let's scare the crud out of the opposition"

Something that's both functional and fashionalble beyond the "let's scare the crud out of the opposition" I thought that Batman Beyon'ds rapid deploy cape worked with the flow and actions of the series... In the Gotham City of the future, the Dark Knight would need to move quickly through the winding skyscrapers and areas of the future environment...

The only real "issue" that I had with the cape was the red color, as red doesn't exactly meet the whole "ninja" aspect of his war on crime... However, with all the technology, "new-neon" and other visual distractions, I think his costumes fits into his environment...

Yeah, but I still prefer the old costume. Beyond is almost as bad as "The Batman". I like the older ones better.

Yeah, but I still prefer the old costume. Beyond is almost as bad as "The Batman". I like the older ones better. I used to think the same thing, until I saw the JLU episode "Epilogue", which explained that Terry McGinnis is Bruce's genetic son, thanks to DNA reconstructive surgery ... After that, I became much more interested in this, albeit different, interpretation...

eh... It works. But it could still be improved upon.

I don't see what that has to do with the cape. Yes, that helps explain why Bruce puts up with him, but it doesn't justify the cape working out. it sort of works for the setting, but it doesn't work for holding true to the classics.

it sort of works for the setting, but it doesn't work for holding true to the classics. True (in the sense of the color scheme), but when I look at Batman Beyond, I have to set aside my notions of the classic Batman. After all, Bruce has retired, and with his decreased prescence in Gotham as the Batman, the city changes... Batman needed to change with the arrival of the 21st century, or suffer annhiliation at the hands of the new breed criminals.
