First edition. I checked the comic before I bought it to make sure. I checked my comic value guide & apparently only the first 3 issues where reprinted, odd isn't it.

Matt Wagner's Batman and The Mad Monk TPB. An above-average Legends of the Dark Knight-type of story. I always liked the idea of trying to combine stories from the old days with the stories of today.
I saw this at the bookstore today and it looked awesome. Didn't get it because I wanted to get The Shadow pulp novels that they had (3 for the price of 2. OH YEAH!). What do you think of it?

^ Awesome, I'll make sure to get it at some point.
Latest comic purchase: Batman: Shaman by Denny O'Neil and others. I was very glad to find this one since I hadn't seen it anywhere else. This was a pretty cool start to the Legends of the Dark Knight series. It elaborates on what I read in "The Man Who Falls" and ties in so well with Year One in the first issue that some scenes almost seem like "cut scenes" that Miller let O'Neil use. We even get to fully experience Batman's first night out in this one, which was pretty cool. Its got a scene that is likely to have inspired the "WHERE ARE YOU?!"-"Here" moment at the docks in Batman Begins and ends on a similar note to the beginning of Burton's Batman film with O'Neil's own take on the "I want you to do me a favor. I want you to tell all your friends about me...I'm Batman" speech. Batman's confrontation with the cult leader at the end reminded me of Batman's confrontation with the Monk in Wagner's Batman and the Mad Monk. Interesting.
