I believe the original trilogy is the best providing its not the special edition version.

I liked the special edition versions...except the parrot for a sarlaak...baba fett in the films more times yet still does nothing but look around and then walks across the screen...the whole re-done music video montage in Jabba's palace...should have left the original...and the whole ending with the new ewok song and adding Hayden (bane of my existance) Christanson...why add him he didn't die young?? the original had Sebastian Shaw (old Anakin in suit) with Obi and Yoda...didn't add Ewan...why did they do that?? WHY??

(bane of my existance) Christanson...why add him he didn't die young?? the original had Sebastian Shaw (old Anakin in suit) with Obi and Yoda...didn't add Ewan...why did they do that?? WHY?? I think it was just a case of Lucas trying to make a connection where none existed and none was warranted. Like you said, he didn't change Obi-Wan or Yoda, but Anakin somehow makes sense?

I think Lucas wanted him young because at the peak of his good-jediness, he was young. Besides, he had gone without legs for over a decade and his ghost would have been about as short as yoda. Who wants to remember their father as Stumpy McVolcano-scar? I was more sad about the change in the song at the end. The original song was much, much, better.

Which version of "Yub-Nub" was it in the recently changed one?

The ewok celebration song? yeah, I liked the original one better. It was more celebration-ish. watching the entire galaxy celebrate is ok, but kinda unrealistic. especially not on Coruscant, which required more battles to capture.

Exactly! Unless it was a mass demonstration that was quickly put out by Imperial remnants.

Episode IV and Episode VI only; I thought the others were terrible.

I guess I'm the only person over the age of 12 who liked any of the prequels ;D

Sorry Tim, I have to go with the original trilogy.
Reason: I wouldn't hesitate to sit down and watch a solid IV-V-VI marathon, whereas I maintain a 'meh' mentality if the topic of a prequel marathon ariiiiiiiiiises...
Oh, and to whoever was against Ewoks -- you can't honestly say you didn't like Wicket.
