^ I know I enjoy it.
I can't believe that I forgot to mention that I watched the Batman animated series as a kid too.
I also got made fun of for liking Batman when the Schumacher films were coming out. Kids would prance around singing the annoying Neal Hefti tune. Now? I meet people who are even more enthusiastic to watch the new Batman film than I am. Man, how times change...
When the news of a "Batman 5" came out, I was also excited. The news was that we'd see a return to the type of world that Burton had established in the first film and they'd even bring back Jack Nicholson to play a Joker whom Batman sees in fear-gas-induced hallucinations. I just loved exploring all these sites that had photo manipulations that actually made George Clooney's Batman look cool (well, okay, all they did was color his suit black and get rid of the nipples) and hearing a MIDI version of Elfman's Batman theme in the background. They'd compile banners that had Scarecrow and Nicholson's Joker together on it. They'd write fan scripts (which started my interest into screenwriting). One site that had stuff like this was called JettD60's Batman 5 site, or something like that. It was pretty small at the time. I only remember seeing a news page and an opinion page. Now, BOOM- it's Batman-On-Film.com.
Ahh nostalgia...

Thanks That means a lot to me. It's because The Dark Knight is now cool and people want to jump on the Batwagon with all of the diehard fans. Personally, I'm glad that more fans are coming into the fold; Nolan may have single-handedly brought DC a new wave of readers I just read about those hallucinations on an old website I stumbled across recently ;D Yeah, I remember those The scarecrow images came to mind as well; I guess WB was hellbent on making sure Scarecrow was in the next Batman movie... As much as I love Batman-On-Film now, I wish there was another equally competent news site out there for Batman so as to diversify our media sources. For me it started with reruns of the Batman television series starring Adam West, keep in mind in the '80s that was all we had to go on other than the comics, plus there was the fact that the rouges gallery included villains such as Egghead, played by Vincent Price.

No worries! I love Cesar Romero and Burgess Meredith in that series... It's just like my love for the Batman/Superman hour (the guy who did Batman voiced him again in the Superfriends)

I watched B:TAS and TMNT mostly when I was growing up. I loved that the characters were actually challenged. Even as a kid I despised Superman (no offense to the diehards out there) because of how easy he had it. Batman had to actually think, to train, to plan. He had people who knew who he was who helped him, but he never let them get dragged into it. Also, kinda how AI was saying, Superman was always too light and happy-go-lucky for me. I've always been a dark person. Bats was the Dark Knight. As he's said, "I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman." There's just no better way of putting it. He was a dark good guy. The thought intrigue(d/s) me. AND HE KNEW HOW TO BE SERIOUS! I loved that part the most. Supes, like I said, just seemed... too cheerful.
ANYWAY. So a few years went by and I kinda stopped paying attention to Bats. I found the X-men (I <3 Wolvie & Gambit ^_^ ) and moved on. Then I met Tim. He's the one that made me start liking Bats again. But, hey, what can I say? His enthusiasm's contagious.
